Keith Farndale is President of Procept Associates Ltd., a premier provider of professional training programs and a niche strategic consulting firm specializing in project management, business analysis, IT service management, and business continuity management. His typical consulting assignments are: assisting in incorporating “state-of-the-art” project management in the implementation of an ERP system, assisting in designing PM methodologies, developing guidelines and templates for project management and control, facilitation sessions, auditing and benchmarking project management practices, and authoring “expert witness” reports for litigation in PM.
Keith and his team have developed more than 30 project management courses, from one to 10 days long, in a variety of industries, which are regularly presented at universities, for trade and professional associations, and directly to corporate customers such as IBM Canada, Ontario Power Generation, Bank of Montreal, and Vale Inco. All seminars and consulting assignments are consistent with the “body of knowledge” of the Project Management Institute (PMI). We are convinced that Keith’s courses have helped prepare more people for PMI’s Project Management Professional examination than any other in Canada.
His own 6-day Comprehensive Project Management Seminar was the first course in Canada to be aligned with the framework of knowledge of the PMI. The course has been a mainstay of daytime program of the School of Continuing Studies of the University of Toronto since 1994. Keith is an adjunct lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering at UofT, with a course in the M. Eng. program. He also developed a popular 10-day course for the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada. Keith’s firm regularly presents public-enrollment courses at Dalhousie University, the Universities of Waterloo and Calgary, and Simon Fraser University.
Keith holds degrees in engineering and business. His previous career was in the PM practice area in consulting engineering firms. He was President of the Southern Ontario Chapter of PMI, receiving an Outstanding Contribution award. Keith is a member of the Ontario Society for Training and Development, and of the Ontario Construction Users Council. He has been a member of the Project Management Forum of the Conference Board of Canada, and has been on the advisory board for Project World Canada. He is a Board member assisting in the birth of the new Project Management Association of Canada, and has recently been appointed as a “First Assessor” for its 4-level certification program. Keith is designated as a Project Management Professional and as a Professional Engineer.

Capital Project Cost Control
by Morley Selver
Project cost control is a very important topic — even more important when the project budgets can often stretch into the hundreds of millions (even billions) of dollars and small mistakes can get magnified into huge problems. This DVD is a live recording of a webinar by Morley Selver, known as "The Project Doctor," who has over 30 years of real-world plant project engineering experience.
Selver has donated all author royalties from the sale of this DVD to the PMAC.
