Kevin Aguanno, PMP, IPMA-B, MAPM

Kevin Aguanno is a driven, result-oriented project manager with over 20 years of experience working with a wide range of industries. He is currently an Executive Project Manager for IBM Canada and is its Agile Centre of Competency Lead. He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional, and an IBM-certified Executive Project Manager. He is a member of the Project Management Institute, and the Association for Project Management in the U.K.. Mr. Aguanno serves as an IPMA-accredited project management competency assessor for the American Society for the Advancement of Project Management and for the Project Management Association of Canada. In addition, he is one of the founding directors of the Project Management Association of Canada, and currently serves as its Director of Professional Development and as its Vice President.

A proven manager and public speaker active in research and writing on the topics of project management, software development methods, and team motivation, Mr. Aguanno has won several international awards for his work, publishing over 20 books, audiobooks, and DVDs. He is an active manager specializing in recovering troubled application development and systems integration projects, and is known in the field for his expertise in this area. To give back to the broader project management community, Mr. Aguanno mentors project managers through career development planning and obtaining qualifications, teaches project management-related topics in corporate and academic settings, and presents regularly at North American conferences and via teleconferences and webinars to project managers around the world. He has participated in standards development activities for various project management organizations and international bodies. Finally, he is the editor of the Project Management Essentials Library series of books and the Project Management Audio Library series of audiobooks published by Multi-Media Publications Inc. and is also the past editor of the Element-K journal Inside Project Management.
